For medical staff, it is part of their daily routine, but many patients are unfamiliar with the CT scan process. This table will move slowly through the large, ring-shaped opening of the CT scanner. Unlike an MRI, this is not a closed tube but an open ring, which many people find makes the exam more comfortable.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>While the machine is running, the X-ray unit rotates around your body and takes numerous images from different angles within a few seconds. The only important thing is to lie as still as possible during the scan. In most cases, you can leave the office immediately afterward and resume your normal daily routine.<\/p>\n<p>If a contrast agent was administered, we recommend drinking plenty of fluids afterward.
