The mammography screening process

During a mammogram, two X-ray images are taken of each breast. The breast is gently compressed between two surfaces. This may be uncomfortable, but it ensures that the resulting images are particularly detailed and informative. The X-rays used are very low-dose to avoid unnecessary exposure to the body. Our doctors will then review the images and discuss the next steps with you.
